Hey guys,

It’s Emily! I think it’s time that I put up an update from my side of the pond to let everyone know what I’ve been up to, how I’m doing, etc.

Moving to Belgium has been a weird adjustment. The FINAL decision to move came really late, so the school I’m going to had to bend over backwards a little to accommodate me. My schedule is still completely messed up as a result, but I’m working to fix it.

Otherwise, I’ve been fighting to catch up on work and have been making some friends (HI STEPH :D). As you can imagine, I really miss DC and can’t wait to go back. BUT, it wouldn’t be a good idea for me to sit around and sulk because I’m not thrilled to have moved… I’ll make the best out of it, and in the mean time, I’ll make sure that I improve as a musician this year.

Speaking of playing guitar and the like, the BULK of my scheduling problems come from my refusing to drop music class. Ohyuss. That must mean something, right?

I brought my new guitar (Mockingbird Pro X), some pedals, an audio interface, mics, and a laptop, so when I need to record any new Power Pirate tracks, I can hop on it right away. I’ll be bringing my guitar and pedals home with me when I go home to DC in about two weeks to play at the H St Music Festival 2010. It’s gonna rawk, so be there. 🙂

Anyway, I’m going to go grab a bite to eat because it’s breakfast time here (and the middle of the night for my DC friends), but if you want to ask something hit me/us up on the Power Pirate Formspring. I think the idea of our band having a Formspring is awesome, so I kind of get a kick out of using it.

See you soon!
Emily
